Jesus (Jess) Franco Manera nasceu no dia 12 de maio de 1930 na
Espanha, e desde muito jovem sempre se dedicou as belas artes primeiro
como escritor talentoso, depois fotógrafo, ator e por fim diretor e
roteirista de filmes bem conceituados, entre tanto sem nunca ter
encontrado grande reconhecimento e sucesso comercial, não desistiu de
seu trabalho e passou a se dedicar intensamente ao mundo do cinema,
tornou-se diretor conceituado de filmes Trash devido ao seus inúmeros
filmes de horror terem uma boa dose de cenas de sexo e nudez com as mais
lindas atrizes, sua produção foi intensa nos períodos dos anos 60 ate
80 e de lá pra cá não parou de produzir mais apenas diminuiu o ritmo sem
jamais perder seu estilo e qualidade, foram mais de 200 filmes
produzidos ao longo de sua carreira trabalhando neles alem de terror,
outros mais variados gêneros.
Atrizes consagradas fazem partes de seus filmes, todas
esteticamente belas, de uma beleza natural e não é a toa que ele sempre
escolheu temas polêmicos em seus filmes investindo de forma simples em
cenas bem exóticas, excitantes com um pouco de violência, sem nunca
perder o sentido original de sua obra.
O lesbianismo, sempre presente nas obras do diretor, é marca
registrada da sua originalidade. Jess abusou de forma livre um tema que
até hoje em pleno século 21 ainda é grande um grande tabu moralista para
os mais atrasados, que contam com a maioria no mundo. Um exemplo de sua
genialidade e ousadia são as obras Vampyrus Lesbos, Pesadelos Noturnos,
Conde Drácula, Ela Matou em Êxtase, Faceless etc...
O Universo de Jess Franco é complexo, infinito, e não dá para
medir a dimensão de sua grande obra, que tem sempre um fundo artístico
de grande reconhecimento mundial em obras clássicas da literatura
universal, além de profundo conhecedor de obras conceituadas de
escritores europeus. Ele ultrapassou o conceito tradicional de adaptação
usando uma linguagem própria para dar vida e movimento às obras que ele
estudou e adaptou em película.
Ele, de vez em quando, aparece atuando em pontas de cena de
seus próprios filmes sempre falando pouco e agindo de forma psicótica e
contracenando sempre com belas atrizes e se fingindo de louco.
Jess Franco tornou-se ao longo de sua carreira o principal
ícone de referência aos filmes B e Trash, além de eternizar o horror
erótico por toda Europa. Seus filmes chocaram os mais puritanos e os
leigos continuaram sem entender nada de sua obra devido sua linguagem
artística complexa que exige do espectador atenção e conhecimento.
Trabalhou duro somente com atores consagrados como Jack Palace,
Christopher Lee, Klaus Kinski, Howard Vernon, Soledad Miranda, Lina
Romay, Paul Miller, Eva Stromberg, Laura Geinser entre outros ícones do
cinema.
Jess Franco se junta ao grupo de Joe Damato, Ruggero Deodato,
Jorge Romero, Lucio Fulci e Jorg Buttgereit como mais um titã dos filmes
de horror erótico, deixando sua marca registrada para sempre na
história do cinema.
